Frequently Asked Questions
Security, Access, and Liability
Access Code Responsibility
Each locker is secured by a unique, system-generated access code. The Customer is solely responsible for maintaining its confidentiality. Anyone using the correct access code is treated as an authorized user, unless reported within 24 hours of discovery or the unauthorized access was enabled by Ready Lockers system failure or gross negligence.
Surveillance and Access Records
All locations are monitored by 24/7 video surveillance and system access logging. By using the service, you consent to such monitoring and recording. Records are presumed accurate unless proven otherwise by clear and convincing evidence.
Insurance Disclaimer
Ready Lockers operates with appropriate business insurance covering its business operations only. That insurance does not create coverage for customer property stored within lockers. Customers are solely responsible for obtaining any desired insurance coverage for stored items.
Service Nature, Risk, and Scope
Ready Lockers provides a self-service, automated access system for short-term, temporary use. It is not a warehouse or storage facility and does not offer long-term storage services. Ready Lockers serves as a limited bailee under Washington State law (RCW 63.24).
The five defined bailee duties
- Maintaining the physical locker unit in operational condition.
- Providing exclusive access via your encrypted access code during the rental period.
- Not accessing the locker except as specifically authorized by this Agreement.
- Providing the item protection program in Chapter 12.
- Following the removal and abandonment protocols.
All other bailee duties under common law or statute — beyond these five — are expressly disclaimed to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.
Washington State Legal Compliance
This Agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Washington. Nothing here waives any rights that cannot be lawfully waived under applicable Washington State law, including the Washington Consumer Protection Act (RCW 19.86). Where the laws of your state of residence provide stronger consumer protections, those apply.
Personal papers and personal photographs may never be sold or discarded and must be held for a minimum of six months per RCW 63.24.
Surveillance systems are NOT used for biometric identification of any kind. Surveillance footage and system data are NOT used for commercial resale of personal data. Operated in accordance with the Washington Privacy Act (RCW 19.375) and the Washington My Health MY Data Act.
